Bannick - Crimson's Weapon by Kharnage Bannick - Crimson's Weapon by Kharnage
Okay, so as promised, I worked abit on each day to create some personal work. Duality is going to get alot of assetts and concepting done for it before the pages go into full production, and this here is Crimson's weapon. The twin to Vermilion. The period and theming is victorian, but like most Steam-punk ideas, it'll draw from Sci-fi and magic. But a tad darker than your average story.

Anyway, this weapon will be 3D modelled, and I may post that up to, basically giving me 360degree self-made reference so I get it 100% accurate each time it's drawn.

I hope you guys like it.

PS. Vermilion's weapons will be next, a pair of flintlock pistols with similar elements to this. (Bladed).

Thanks! They should provide pretty glowing sweeps of colour in the combat comic panels. Abit like a cars headlights in a photograph at night. ^^

The metal stick thingy sticking out of the grip looks a little like a very thick trigger

It looks kinda like it has a trigger even though it says its not necessary :)
Also, where is the waste exhaust? I don't see it labeled anywhere.

This sword is awesome. I noticed that you have put a lot of thought while doing this, the combination on all the differents parts to this sword is every type of power-up. I also love the fact that you made a combination of a gun and a sword at the same time. Great work.

Max09. I was trained in it at university and use it to create block-outs now and then. ^^

I used to fiddle with Blender but I lost the program when my external HD died so it's been a while.

:iconretardiloveitplz: I'm a sucker for steampunk. But this is a whole other addiction in itself! 360 degree self made reference?!? That's so damn respectable it makes me tingle inside. I want to do the same for some of my own creations. It definitely helps. I went and started my project RobinHood: Steampunk without this kind of preparation [even though I intended to do it...just never got around to it] and I tell you, it comes in handy!

First stteampunk gun-blade I'VE ever seen, and it's righteous! maybe my steampunk compound-bow will be a first too

Hehe, I'd love to see that bow. I've always had a thing for Steampunk. It's just such a romantic theme to do things in.

yup, steampunk is just awesome. I think eventually well start veering into it in real life too, what with new power sources being developed and what not.

Hey this is super awesome. Great job on the artwork. Very very nice.

However, I noticed that on your diagram at the top-right, where you have all the numbers, you don't have a (6), so I don't really know where the Waste Exhaust is located. :(

DOH! Nice catch! The wife did the graphic designey elements and layout. The exaust is a purposeful design flaw located on the bottom of the back of the blade.. Look for a tiny little bronzed exaust. It faces back towards the user so the weapon can defend itself if someone picks it up who shouldn't.

Haha, For just 4.99 and monthly installments of 29.99 for 7 years, you can be the proud owner of this sword.

Would it put you off if I told you the soul inside of the weapon was a 7 year old boy? And he has the giggles.
